Why Join CSEE?

CSEE has served independent schools for more than 125 years, helping them to create purposeful, kind, inclusive communities where each person is known. If your school mission is to graduate students who are compassionate leaders of integrity, with a mind toward service, equity, and justice, we are a resource for you. There has probably never been a more important time for independent schools to do quality work in these areas, and CSEE is here to help. Independent schools that partner with CSEE have access to enriching professional development backed by research and best practices, and an active network of fellow independent school educators. We invite you to join a growing organization that has stood the test of time.

Frequently Asked Questions

CSEE is not a part of any denomination, nor during our 120 year history have we advocated for any faith perspective. Currently, more than half of our school members are secular. The word “spiritual” in our name denotes not a belief in a supreme being, but rather a way of being in the world. We do offer workshops on religion, but the goal of these workshops is to create deeper understanding of religion so as to create better understanding among diverse people.

Anyone at a member school can create an account, including faculty, staff, and parents. Each member school is assigned a unique url that can be shared with members of your community to create their own personal user accounts to access articles, sign up for events at the member rate, and more. If you need your school’s unique url, please email info@csee.org.

With a CSEE member user account, you can sign up for events or purchase books at the member rate, access member-only articles and webinars, sign up for complimentary virtual department meetings, and opt into any specific emails you’d like to receive (like Connections Quarterly). You can also use your login to sign up other educators at your school for events at the member rate.

CSEE memberships run July 1st - June 30th.

If you have a team of seven or more faculty who wish to attend an event, we invite you to reach out to info@csee.org to see about a reduced rate.

Electronic copies of Connections Quarterly are sent out to all at your school who opt into the mailing list. Print copies are sent to four educators at your school.

Individual Learner Members do not receive the member rate on events. IL Members receive access to website articles, virtual department meetings, and Connections Quarterly.
