CSEE's online courses provide expert speakers and the ability to discuss important topics real-time with colleagues around the country. Courses are done via Zoom with a mix of video presentation, slides, and small group discussions. Different from a CSEE webinar, online courses are live and interactive.

Building the Beloved Community with Lauren Brownlee
What does it take to work Dr. King’s dream of the Beloved Community, which he believed could “bring about miracles in the hearts of men” and “transform opponents into friends”? Through this interactive online professional development series, educators will learn about the building blocks for community building rooted in justice. Participants will consider how they provide windows and mirrors for students’ identities at school, how to support students in engaging in dialogue across difference, how to grow students’ sense of community through reciprocal relationship building in service-learning, and how to expand a school’s sense of community through collaborations with nonprofit organizations and other schools.
All sessions will be 7:00-8:30pm Eastern (4:00-5:30pm Pacific)
