About this Event

CSEE's institute brings together university scholars and world religion teachers from around North America for five days of study, discussion, activity sharing and camaraderie. Participants will leave with new knowledge, new ideas for the classroom, a list of resources and enduring contacts.

This year’s presenters include:

Linda Hess, Ph.D. (Stanford University)
Dr. Hess will do an introduction to Hinduism, followed by a more in-depth look at the medieval Hindu poet-saints and Kabir. The second day, she will address a variety of topics important in the religions of South Asia, including Jainism. See agenda below for details.
Jeremy Brown, Ph.D. (University of San Francisco)
Professor Brown will present on Judaism and the melding of religious cultures in medieval Spain.

Plus more!
