CSEE recognizes two schools for it's Community Service Award for 2008, entitled "Connecting the Ages", which recognizes schools doing exemplary work connecting older students with younger ones, or connecting students with the elderly.

CSEE Trustees in Spring Meeting

CSEE Trustees meet at Palmer Trinity School in Miami, Florida, March 15-16 to evaluate recent CSEE activities to promote character education in schools, and to make recommendations for the coming school year. Trustees from throughout the United States will also focus on school membership communications, to help schools realize the value of CSEE services and the added resource possibilities that ensue from an increased number of schools. Executive Director David Streight will also update the trustees on CSEE's Pathmaps Project, currently in the process of creating a manual of activities and resources for spiritual development in schools.

MDT Presents at NAIS
CSEE director, David Streight, along with Adriana Murphy and Jonanthon Rosenshine, both members of CSEE's Moral Development Team, led a workshop at the 2008 National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) conference in New York on March 27th. Their powerpoint presentation, "Putting Together Quality Character Education Programs" is now available in the CSEE library.
