Proven Approaches to Bully Prevention
Research has progressed to the point where there are few if any barriers to preventing bullying in schools. What is needed is a combination of a whole-child, whole-school approach and clear responses before they escalate. In this presentation, Dr. Elias will address prevention strategies and responses that are shown to be effective.

Developing a Culture of Kindness: Practical Strategies for Teachers and Schools
Drawing on his 40 years of educational research, Dr. Lickona will address strategies to foster the values and traits students need to do their best work, to become good citizens, and to lead fulfilling lives. He will focus specifically on three issues: why character matters, what classroom teachers can do to build positive relationships with students and reduce peer cruelty, and school-wide strategies to involve students in building a culture of character in school.
