Walking the Path of Compassion in Schools

This webinar will be held live from 3:30 - 5:00pm on November 4th. The presentation will last one hour and be followed by a half-hour question and answer session. Those participants unable to make this time will be provided with a link to the recorded webinar for later viewing. The link will be provided one hour after the completion of the session, and for up to 3 months after the taping.
Marc Ian Barasch, internationally known author of The Compassionate Life: Walking with the Path of Kindness and Field Notes on the Compassionate Life, addresses the important issues of empathy and compassion and their implications on both our lives as educators and the lives of our students, the future caretakers of our world.
The price for all CSEE webinars is a "site price" for one computer connection. As many participants from a school as can view the computer screen, or its projected image, are invited to participate. A free copy of Field Notes on the Compassionate Life will be given to each school registered for this event.
About the Presenter
Marc Ian Barasch is an award-winning writer, editor, and television producer. He has been an editor at Psychology Today, Natural Health, and New Age Journal. He is the author of the award-winning classic, The Healing Path (Putnam, 1992; Penguin, 1993), about which Dr.Larry Dossey has written, "If you read one book about the mind-body connection, make it this one. It is a beacon of science, spirituality, and sanity." Dr. Rachel Remen called it "a masterful, awesome feat... unnervingly accurate." It was recognized by the Institute for Noetic Sciences' as one of "Thirty Books for Thirty Years" (along with Carl Jung's Memories, Dreams and Reflections, Norman Cousins' Anatomy of an Illness, and Dr. Bernie Siegel's Love, Medicine, and Miracles).
In the television field, Marc was the writer and co-producer of the Emmy-nominated “One Child, One Voice” an international TV special for the Turner Broadcasting System (TBS), which aired in 150 countries. Marc was educated at Yale University. He has taught at Naropa University, where he was one of the founders of the M.A. psychology program. As a hobby, he plays and records with the “lit-rock” band The Rock Bottom Remainders (Stephen King, Amy Tan, Mitch Albom, et. al.). CSEE's webinars are hosted by Dim Dim. Participants will need high-speed internet access, and can use VOIP audio or can call in via phone to hear audio (long distance rates apply on the phone call). If calling via phone, the number will be listed at the top of the screen as the webinar commences.
Close to the date of the event, CSEE staff will send participants the information and passcode for logging in to the webinar.
