Saturday, October 24th, 2009

On the first day of this event, Ed DeRoche will lead participants through three important components: reviewing and critiquing the research on character education efforts, examining the what and why for evaluating character education, and how to assess character education initiatives in schools.

On the second day, David Streight and members CSEE Moral Development team will address a few essential components of character education programs in terms of fine tuning trouble spots and turning an okay program into a great program. Two directors of character education programs—one established, and one new— in schools will discuss their programs in light of school characteristics.
