Developing Student Leaders: A Symposium

A symposium for student council advisors and others interested in leadership development

Culver, IN
Friday, May 2, 4:00pm through Sunday, May 4, 12:00pm

About the Workshop

Our goal is to help all schools develop their full potential to develop ethical leadership for tomorrow’s world. Four exemplary student leadership programs will be the focus at this two and a half day conference.

Participants and presenters will note and discuss what all leadership programs have in common, and how leadership development might differ depending on school climate, school population, or other factors.

Participants will be able to look at exemplary student leadership programs for the purpose of fine tuning a high quality leadership program at their own school.

Lodging

There are a few lodging facilities near the Culver campus. CSEE recommends the Holiday Inn Plymouth. Participants can also stay in nearby Plymouth, IN (aprox. 15 miles north).

Location/Transportation

Culver Academies may be reached via a number of airports. Indianapolis is the closest, but Midway and O’Hare are also feasible. The easiest drive is probably the airport in South Bend, although fares may be higher. It is easiest to get to the school by rental car from the airport. CSEE will reimburse $60 of car rental fees to those with rented cars who have a second conference attendee as a passenger. Contact CSEE for details.
