Adult Ethics Institute
Santa Fe, New Mexico
July 19-24, 2008 - From 6pm on Saturday through lunch on Thursday
About the Workshops
Five days of unhurried study and reflection on moral education and the moral life of schools, for school administrators, chaplains, trustees, and others. This event has long been one of CSEE’s most popular workshop offerings.
The summer Ethics Institute with Dan Heischman brings participants together to discuss thought-provoking pieces of fiction and non-fiction, and to examine case studies from ethical situations in schools across the country.
Each participant will be asked to contribute a case study from his or her school (names and other identifying information changed). Examples of case studies from past years will be available as a suggested template. Participants will also be asked to complete readings before their arrival.
Readings will be sent to participants in May. Each participant will lead one morning small-group session on one of the readings, and one afternoon session on a case study from personal school experience.
Ample time is available to enjoy local cultural attractions.
