About the topic:

Consider the last time you were at odds with someone: Did you win? Let the other person win? Did you compromise or come up with a joint solution? Perhaps you avoided the situation and hoped that it would go away (did it?).

Richard Barbieri, Ph.D., community mediator and immediate past president of the New England Association of Conflict Resolution, will present for administrators and faculty how to best navigate conflicts in schools. Dr. Barbieri will explore the various ways individuals approach conflict, and the best strategies for working through conflict without losing site of important principles. The goal of this webinar is to help faculty navigate conflict, and how to work with students on conflict resolution.

Logistics:

Twenty-four hours before the webinar is scheduled, a link for logging in will be emailed to you. You will be able to sign in approximately 20 minutes before the webinar begins (we recommend signing in at least a few minutes early, to make sure everything is working properly on your computer). When the presentation begins, expect to see slides and hear a presenter talking. Participant microphones will be turned off during the presentation, but participants are welcome to type in questions in the Q&A box. Questions can also be submitted before the webinar begins to info@csee.org.

A note on technology:

CSEE webinars are hosted by Zoom. Upon your first Zoom meeting, you may be prompted to download the software, which is a very quick process.
