About the topic:

Intergenerational relationships provide an opportunity for older adults and young people to engage in meaningful ways that enrich the lives of all who are involved. The opportunities abound at independent schools – especially with alumni and members from the greater community. Join us for this interactive webinar and learn:

  • what intergenerational programs are,
  • why they are necessary, not simply nice,
  • key components of strong programs, and
  • about a wide variety of programs ranging from curriculum-based to service-learning to engaging multiple generations of alumni.

The webinar will be led by Andrea J. Fonte Weaver, intergenerational specialist, founder and executive director of Bridges Together, Inc, an internationally renowned not-for-profit 501(c)(3) committed to educating, empowering and connecting generations to transform lives today and tomorrow.

Logistics:

Twenty-four hours before the webinar is scheduled, a link for logging in will be emailed to you. You will be able to sign in approximately 20 minutes before the webinar begins (we recommend signing in at least a few minutes early, to make sure everything is working properly on your computer). When the presentation begins, expect to see slides and hear a presenter talking. Participant microphones will be turned off during the presentation, but participants are welcome to type in questions in the Q&A box. Questions can also be submitted before the webinar begins to info@csee.org.

A note on technology:

CSEE webinars are hosted by Zoom. Upon your first Zoom meeting, you may be prompted to download the software, which is a very quick process.
