If there is one theme that runs through all discussions of online behavior, it’s “modeling, balance, and education.” The best way to prevent mistakes and misbehavior is teaching our children through our own example, not being afraid to use your role as parent to help your child balance online activities with other activities, discussing proper online etiquette, helping them understand that online behavior affects their real life community, and helping them learn to navigate safely online. The best protection for your family is a solid, open relationship with your children. We will discuss strategies for guiding our children as they navigate the online world, as well as resources that will help you stay on top of the latest trends.
