About this Webinar:

How to introduce Buddhism to students? Whether one is teaching a course dedicated to Buddhist beliefs and practice, or presenting a short overview as part of a World Religions course, this webinar offers up insightful and practical “how to” skills when it comes to teaching about Buddhism. In particular, the study of Buddhism offers students a unique opportunity to examine the similarities and differences between philosophy and religion as well as come to understand what “mindfulness” may mean in their own lives.

Amy Wright Glenn, MA Teachers College, Columbia University, taught World Religions for over a decade at The Lawrenceville School, New Jersey. She also taught college level courses on Buddhism through Chapman University. Glenn received the Dunbar Abston Jr. Chair for Teaching Excellence and has traveled to, and lived in, India to study meditation. Glenn is a certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher, hospital chaplain, birth doula, and author. Glenn draws upon best teaching practices -- learned through study, trial, and error -- in offering up this important webinar.
